Ammo-112-DL Ammunition & Explosives Storage Safety (CERT) (4E-F28/645-F12 (DL))

Ungraded knowledge checks are distributed throughout the content to provide students with immediate feedback about their level of understanding in each topic. Graded multiple choice questions are provided at the end of each course. 75% of these must be answered correctly to complete the course. After three unsuccessful attempts to do so, the course will be marked as unsuccessful.

Description: This course is a certification course in accordance with AR 385-10/DA PAM 385-64. It is designed to instruct safety professionals in the use and application of governing regulations and procedures for the safety of ammunition and explosives in storage. This course provides basic information and training in the use and application of governing regulations and procedures for the safety of ammunition and explosives in storage. The course provides a working knowledge of storage operations at the retail and depot levels. The training includes storage facilities, safety, drawings and planographs, as well as administrative documentation applications. Focus on best practices/tips/pointers, best way of doing things, specific issues to watch out for, etc. Examples of problems and what to look for; unstable stacks, broken banding, what equipment can be used in an area, what kind of operations can be performed in storage facilities, etc. This course does not cover physical security or administrative documentation.

Audience: This course is intended for U.S. Army learners completing Level 2 Certification who are explosives safety professionals as defined in AR 690-950, and other students requiring knowledge of safety practices in ammunition storage areas.

Length: Approximately 8 hours (self-paced learning)

Special Information: This course is provided as a web-based course. Students must have web access, a CAC card, and an AKO account. Students must register through ATRRS for course credit. It is recommended that you have a high-speed Internet connection in order to view the course.
