Ammo-36-DL Explosives Safety for Naval Facility Planning (4E-F51/645-F35 (DL))

Ungraded knowledge checks are distributed throughout the content to provide students with immediate feedback about their level of understanding in each topic. Graded multiple choice questions are provided at the end of each course. 75% of these must be answered correctly to complete the course. After three unsuccessful attempts to do so, the course will be marked as unsuccessful.

Description: This course is a certification course in accordance with NAVSEA OP 5, Volume 1, Appendix D. It instructs Naval personnel in Quantity Distance Standards for explosives used by the Navy to prepare facility site plans. This refresher training course provides a comprehensive review of Quantity Distance Standards used by the Navy in preparation and review of Site Plans. This course includes an in-depth review of Department of Defense (DOD) quantity distance standards and an application of these standards in the form of Facility Design Problems exercises.

Audience: This course is intended as a refresher for Navy/Marine Corps facility planners responsible for explosives facilities at shore installations, safety department personnel responsible for review of facility site plans, or individuals who fall within the review chain of a typical Navy/Marine Corps facility site plan. It fulfills the requirements of OPNAVINST 8023.24B - NAVY PERSONNEL AMMUNITION AND EXPLOSIVES HANDLING QUALIFICATION AND CERTIFICATION PROGRAM. NOTE: Proponent has determined this course is not releasable to International Military Students.

Length: Approximately 24 hours (self-paced learning)
