Description: This course familiarizes students with Ammunition Peculiar Equipment (APE) as well as the proper selection and use of hand tool, gauges, and other precision measuring devices used in ammunition inspection and maintenance operations. This course explains the Ammunition Peculiar Equipment (APE) Program and provides information about the different types of APE and their uses. The student will become familiar with hand tools, gauges and precision measuring devices used in ammunition operations such as inspection and maintenance. This course also introduces the calibration requirements for test, measurement and diagnostic equipment (TMDE).

Audience: This course is intended for those who require a fundamental understanding of the specialized tools and equipment used in ammunition inspection and maintenance operations.

Length: Approximately 3 hours (self-paced learning)

Special Information: This course is provided as a web-based course. Students must have web access, a CAC card, and an AKO account. Students must register through ATRRS for course credit. It is recommended that you have a high-speed Internet connection in order to view the course.
