Ammo-54 Risk Management and Preparation of SOPs for Ammunition and Explosive Operations (9E-F60/950-F39)

Description: This course provides training to prepare and review ammunition and explosives SOPs in accordance with Federal, Department of Defense, Department of the Army, and U.S. Army Materiel Command (AMC) regulatory requirements to personnel engaged in ammunition and explosives operations. This course has incorporated a broad overview of hazard analysis and risk management designed to familiarize students assigned to various munitions-related disciplines. Students learn procedures to identify hazards, manage risks, and prepare and review SOPs through a series of individual and group written exercises and presentations.

Length: 2 Weeks

Audience: Personnel in need of training to meet the requirements of U.S. Army Materiel Command Regulation (AMR-R) 340-4 Training and Certification Program for Personnel Working in Ammunition Operations, AMC-R 385-100 Safety Manual, and Department of the Army Pamphlet 385-64 Ammunition and Explosives Safety Standards.

Prerequisites:Ammo-60 or Ammo-45-DL.

The IACET Standard: DAC has been approved by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) as an Authorized Provider of Continuing Education Units (CEUs).  In obtaining this accreditation, the Defense Ammunition Center has demonstrated that it complies with the ANSI/IACET Standard which is recognized internationally as a standard of good practice. The DAC awards 6.5 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) on the course certificate for successful completion of this course.
