Ammo-43-DL Intermodal Dry Cargo Container/(CSC) Reinspection (CERT) (8A-F62/551-F54 (DL))

Ungraded knowledge checks are distributed throughout the content to provide students with immediate feedback about their level of understanding in each topic. Graded multiple choice questions are provided at the end of each course. 75% of these must be answered correctly to complete the course. After three unsuccessful attempts to do so, the course will be marked as unsuccessful.

Description: This course satisfies mandatory certification training requirements, and is considered refresher training, for DoD CSC Inspectors as prescribed by DoDI 5160.68, DoD 4500.9-R, 49 CFR, and International Treaty. This course must be completed every four years to retain certification status. Course content includes a comprehensive review of intermodal container regulations and applicable U.S. Public Law, Joint Service guidance, and CSC standards. This course provides instruction on CSC container types, structural/nonstructural components, reporting requirements, and decal placement, as well as intermodal dry cargo container reinspection requirements, techniques, and procedures and a detailed analysis of CSC reinspection criteria.

Scope: This course provides the up-to-date requirements, techniques, and procedures for re-inspection of intermodal dry cargo containers. Course content includes overview of various CSC container types, container structural and non-structural components, and a detailed analysis of re-inspection criteria required by CSC, U.S. Public Law, and Joint Service Regulations. Reporting requirements and re-inspection decal placement are also discussed.

Audience: Personnel from all Services who require certification as DoD CSC Inspectors as defined by DoD 4500.9-R. Certification is good for four years.

Length: Approximately 16 hours (self-paced learning)

Special Information: This course is a web-based (online) course available on the ALMS and NeL. Students must have web access and a CAC card. For the ALMS, Students must register through ATRRS for course credit. Students such as contractors without a CAC, Local Nationals, and non-Army personnel without a full-use CAC must receive sponsorship in order to complete training in the ALMS.
