Ungraded knowledge checks are distributed throughout the content to provide students with immediate feedback about their level of understanding in each topic. Graded multiple choice questions are provided at the end of each course. 75% of these must be answered correctly to complete the course. After three unsuccessful attempts to do so, the course will be marked as unsuccessful.

Description: This is a certification course required by 49 CFR and International Treaty. It is designed to provide Department of Defense (DOD) CSC Inspectors with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to properly re-inspect intermodal dry cargo containers IAW the CSC standards. This course must be successfully completed every four years in order to retain certification status. This course provides the up-to-date requirements, techniques, and procedures for re-inspection of intermodal dry cargo containers. Course content includes overview of various CSC container types, container structural and non-structural components, and a detailed analysis of re-inspection criteria required by CSC, U.S. Public Law, and Joint Service Regulations. Reporting requirements and re-inspection decal placement are also discussed.

Audience: This course is for personnel from all services who require certification for Department of Defense (DOD) CSC Inspectors as required by DoD 4500.9-R, Volume VI. This course must be successfully completed every four years to retain certification status. FD1. The materials contained in this course have been reviewed by the Course developers in coordination with the Defense Ammunition Center foreign disclosure authority. This course is releasable to students from all requesting foreign countries without restrictions. This rating means that all course references are either already available in the public domain or all training materials have been approved for release to all international military students. FD1 TSPs cannot contain FOUO, restricted technical, or other restricted information.

Length: Approximately 16 hours (self-paced learning)
